4 Easy Homemade Coffee Recipes during Lockdown

Coffee is the most favorite drink of all age group people. It refreshes your mind and keeps you fresh. It is not good to drink more than 2-3 cups of coffee. As you drink more coffee you are consuming a higher concentration of caffeine. And consumption of high concentration of caffeine is harmful for humans. During lockdown there were various different problems faced by all kinds of people. The working class people and students stayed at home. The work from home culture made office going people a little boring routine.  So many businesses fell apart and the owners were very tense about the future. Foods ,malls and vegetable markets get shut down for a few weeks. During such tense hours only home made coffee made everyone’s day. 

Even if you are stuck in your home during lockdown, you can have various options to prepare different types of coffees. You can enjoy coffee just sitting comfortably at your home along with your whole family. Some people took advantage of the lockdown for trying new coffee recipes. Some are being so creative that they shared their new coffee drink recipes through the internet.

But in this article you are going to know some coffee recipes like Cappuccino, Dalgona, Cold Coffee, and Filter Coffee.

Thus you can make different types of homemade coffee with easy steps given below:  

1. Cappuccino recipe

The first easy coffee type is known as cappuccino. Lets see the recipe of this coffee and prepare it without a coffee machine.

Ingredients: Coffee powder, sugar, water, milk

Steps to Follow:

Take a bowl and add 1/4th cup of coffee beans powder in it. Also add 1/4th cup of sugar to it.

Then add about 3 tablespoons of water to it.

Do mix it well till the sugar gets dissolved.

Slowly the mixture shows smooth consistency. Again mix it well with the hand beater machine. If you don’t have a hand beater machine you can make use of a blender to prepare cappuccino mixture. Keep the beat at low speed. The mixture will start changing color after 3 minutes slowly. And it will start to thicken after 4 minutes. You need to keep beating till the color lightens. Now after beating for 5 minutes, the texture of the mixture will seem light and creamy. And your cappuccino mixture is ready. Now it has become super creamy it can be stored in the refrigerator for weeks. 

How to serve:

Now whisk and boil 2 cups of milk in the utensil. Boil till it becomes frothy. 

Add the 1 tablespoon of cappuccino mixture in a drinking cup. 

Get the frothy milk and add it to the drinking cup. Mix it gently. 

Again add 1 tablespoon of cappuccino mixture in a drinking cup to make a upper layer of the cappuccino. And you are ready to serve it.

2. Dalgona Coffee recipe

Let’s see the Dalgona Coffee recipe having two flavors. One is Coffee flavor and other is Chocolate flavor.

Ingredients: 

Coffee powder, sugar, hot water, milk, Cocoa coffee powder

Steps to Follow:

Take a bowl and add 1/4th cup of coffee beans powder in it. Also add 1/4th cup of sugar to it.

Then add about 3 tablespoons of hot water to it. 

Beat or Whisk the mixture for low speed. Beat it till it combines well. 

It will thicken after 5 minutes. You just need to beat well. The mixture will start changing color slowly. The mixture starts showing stiff peaks after 8 minutes. And the Dalgona mixture is ready now.

How to serve:

Now take a coffee drinking cup and add ice cubes to it. Then pour chilled milk in the cup. 

Then add Dalgona mixture on top of the cup. Spread the dalgona’s thick mixture on the milk.

Add or sprinkle some coffee powder on top of it. You are ready to serve it.

Likewise you can make a chocolate flavored dalgona mixture and later add the thick flavor on top of the milk. Cocoa coffee flavor is the powder used for this dalgona mixture.

3. Cold Coffee recipe

There are 2 ways to prepare cold coffee recipe

Ingredients: coffee powder, sugar, cold milk, ice cubes, warm water.

Steps to Follow:

Take a bowl and add 1 tablespoonful of coffee powder to it. 

Add 2 tablespoons of warm water to it.

Stir it well. Now for coffee decoction, you need to add cold milk of 1.5 cups to it. Also add 1 tbsp of sugar. And add 6 ice cubes. And blend this mixture and it turns frothy. Thus your cold coffee is ready.

How to serve:

Pour the cold coffee in a coffee glass and add whipped cream on top of it. Sprinkle some coffee powder on it.  And you are ready to serve it.

4. Filter Coffee recipe

Filter coffee is the all time favorite in Asian countries. It is dedicated to all coffee lovers.

Ingredients:

Milk, water, coffee powder, coffee filter.

Steps to Follow:

Take a coffee filter which consists of pressing disc and perforated vessel. 

Add 3 teaspoons of coffee powder and press it. 

Boil 1 cup of water. Pour slowly the hot water into the filter. And keep it closed for 15 minutes.

How to serve:

Then boil 1 cup of Milk. After 15 minutes, do Decoction using 1/3rd cup add 1 tbsp sugar to it. 

Then add 2/3rd cup. Mix it well. Now you are ready to serve strong frothy coffee.
